At Taylor & Martin, we provide a hands-on factoring service for homeowners across Scotland. We value direct communication, tailored service and getting jobs done to the highest standards. We work to make factoring transparent and fair, giving homeowners and developers a good deal by using only the best contractors from our trusted list.

We’re also committed to helping the communities we serve to improve – and we take our role very seriously. We believe that businesses should give back – and we like to practise what we preach. Here are a few of the ways in which Taylor & Martin support our local communities across Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Our sponsorship of GHK rugby club

Sponsorship of grassroots sports organisations is vital for them to operate, supporting the individuals who play, coach and participate. The leisure activities we participate in make us who we are – and as big rugby fans (and former players), we are proud to sponsor a rugby team local to us, GHK.

GHK is one of Scotland’s leading amateur rugby clubs, it is at the very heart of life in the west end of Glasgow. The club, which was named after two founding associate schools, The High School of Glasgow and Kelvinside Academy, was founded more than a century ago and continues to play a key role in both Scottish Rugby, and the local community.

With it being based in the West End, where hundreds of our properties are, it was a natural fit, but it’s particularly close to our heart as it’s where our founders Marc Taylor and Michael Martin played for a number of years.

Our Watsonians ladies rugby team sponsorship

Following the rugby theme, we are delighted to sponsor the ladies of Watsonians women’s rugby team. The Scottish Women’s Premiership side are based in Edinburgh and have many talented players. In fact, they’ve just secured a league title for the fourth season in a row.

As our senior associate, David Jones continues to grow our footprint in Edinburgh, and we add more properties to our portfolio, such as Artisan Real Estate’s new landmark development, Rowanbank Gardens in Corstorphine, it’s increasingly important for us to give back and be part of the community in Scotland’s capital.

Our Hyndland Bowling club sponsorship

Back in Glasgow’s West End, we proudly sponsor Hyndland Bowling club and contributed to their latest kit. We take a lot of pride in watching this club flourish in sporting terms, and as a hub for the local community.

Further support

Away from sponsorships, our property management business works hard to be kind to the planet and our wider local community. You can read our blog post about our commitment to green property management in the run-up to COP26.

In addition to this, we see sustainability as a vital step – not just because it’s the most efficient way we can operate – but because it’s best for our community. As a result of this, we’ve taken steps to ensure we’re moving towards sustainability such as:

  • -Upgraded our fleet of vehicles to all-electric
  • -Gone paperless
  • -Using green energy suppliers in our properties
  • -Helping to upgrade facilities where possible

Going forward, we’re committed to investing in our communities where we can and we’re always looking for ways to improve. Interested in finding out more? Why not get in touch today?
